Malleswaram, Bengaluru ✦ Women bringing a community together since 1951
About MEWS

Women. Enterprise.
A shared purpose.

A women-led society in Malleswaram, bringing people together through enterprise, culture, learning and service since 1951.

Our purpose

Opportunity grows
when we come together.

What began in 1951 as a gathering of seventeen women grew into Malleswaram Enterprising Women’s Society — a place for shared interests, initiative and belonging.

Our records describe a society built around recreation, sports and cultural activities, which grew to embrace accommodation for working women and students, practical learning and social service.

The annual Malleswaram Santhe carries this spirit into the neighbourhood, creating a meeting place for women entrepreneurs and the community.
